Long and Tiring day comes to an end

It has been a long and tiring day. Nothing went according to plan. Sajid, Mujey and Hamdhoon arrived early morning and they woke us up. So didn’t get that much sleep either. So after checking out the news and making a couple of phone calls to check on the practice session times and other stories, we were off to buy a monopod for Sajid and a tripod for us. Our tripod was broken and we had to buy a new one.

The van came in a bit late and we were stuck in Delhi traffic. It takes around 5 minutes from our hotel to reach CP. But it took us around half an hour to go to CP to exchange money. After a fiasco with the driver and the exchanger , we managed to get a reasonable rate.

After that, we looked out for the camera gear and went into TATA Indico, to buy a USB modem for us. The speed is amazingly fast! Much better than the services we get back in home.

Anyways, time went in a flash and Sajid, Mujey and Hamdhoon wanted to buy SIM cards. So we stayed in the shop to finalise the transaction and they went to buy it.  It took more than one and half-hour to issue SIM cards. It was not a pleasant experience.

Anyways, after we finished, we checked upon the national team and the manager informed us that they are on their way to practices. No one informed us the time or the practice venue either. Balak said that its in Aradharam Stadium which our driver had no idea. After double checking it with Balak, he later informed that it was held in Nehru Stadium practice grounds.  Originally it was scheduled to be held at 1600hrs and we had no idea it changed!

At that time, we did not have any breakfast or lunch, so by the time we managed to get to the practice after lunch, we had only 10 to 20 minutes to shoot any pictures. I did get some few good shots which are uploaded to maldivesoccer.com’s SAFF Championship gallery.

After we finished uploading news it was around 2200hrs. Everyone wanted to have a good dinner. So I thought of going to Saket and when we reached their, after a half an hour driver it was closed. But we managed to find a shop just a bit far from Saket – City walk and had something light. I tried Maggi Chicken in Thai Red sauce which was alright. Not that great not that good type.

After an eventful night, the six of us managed to get into one taxi back home!
