Faalhu ferry incident

I just returned back from the press of the President in Kurumba when I saw MNDF ambulance in the area. I asked some of the cops about the incident and came to know that the engine of a Kulhudhuffushi ferry was on fire and one of the injured is been transferred to Male. One of the women, who was sick was transferred in a police launch and I asked Mr. Adnan of police, whether I could jump into their launch which was on their way back to the scene. It seems one of the person sitting on the engine house, was injured and brought back to Male’. Thank god that no one else got injured in the incident. The engine of Faalhu ferry was destroyed and could not be repaired for sure. The marine police and coast guard did a splendid job in transferring the 175 people on board. The crew on board extinguished the fire, using the fire extinguishers on board.
